Project Description

Project Description

Sensorial exhibition on Deaf perception to inspire inclusive design. A transformative learning experience that promotes understanding of Deaf people’s perception. We, as designers, generate and evaluate ideas based on our limited experience. As a result, exclusivity is reflected in the design outcomes. WAV recognizes the strong need for inclusive design and seeks to inspire designers through experience to incorporate inclusivity in practice.

A black and white abstract image featuring curved, wave-like patterns in varying shades of gray against a black background. A thin, dark line runs diagonally across the image, intersecting the curves. In the bottom right corner, a small white rectangle contains the text "PLAY" in black. Above the rectangle, the word "WAV" is displayed in white capital letters.A grayscale image displays a large, circular, spiral design with a black center and concentric rings, set against a dark background. Below it, a smaller, rectangular image shows a grayscale scene with a light source and a darkened landscape. The overall composition is monochromatic, with varying shades of gray. The image shows a minimalist, symmetrical design split into two distinct sections. On the left, a series of curved, wave-like patterns in shades of black and gray create a sense of depth and movement. On the right, a grid of square or rectangular shapes in varying shades of gray fills the space. A light gray rectangular area is centered in the image, contrasting with the darker gray grid. A light blue line runs along the bottom edge of the image. The text "MVV" and "EXPERIENCE DEAF CULTURE THROUGH VIBRATION" is visible along the right edge. The image shows a pattern of small black symbols arranged to form the outline of a larger symbol. The pattern is dense and covers the entire image area. In the top right corner, the text "WVNM&&&" is visible in white text. Below it, the phrase "Experienced Culture Throught the Web" is written in smaller white text.A woman with long, dark hair sits against a solid orange-brown wall. She wears a white, off-the-shoulder, ribbed top with short, ruffled sleeves and a light beige skirt. Her hands are clasped in her lap, and she looks to the left of the frame. She wears small earrings. The lighting is soft and evenly distributed.
