Project Description

Unbound is a platform for educational activism fighting against the alarming increase of book bans in the United States. Its public awareness campaign and free advocacy resources aim to educate, engage, and empower individuals to take action.

The image is a collage composed of three distinct sections. The leftmost section features a white background with the word "UNBOUND" in black text. Below it, a black rectangular stamp displays "INK ON PAPER - HOW QUANTITY". The central section has a white background with a black letter "A" and a black arrow pointing to the right. To the right, a series of four dark gray or black capsules are arranged in a row on a textured gray background. The bottom section shows a blue sky with white clouds.

The image displays the text "IN JUST ONE YEAR STUDENTS LOST ACCESS TO A HISTORIC NUMBER OF BOOKS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" in bold, black letters against a dark gray background. The words "UNION" and "STATES OF AMERICA" are partially obscured by black horizontal lines. The website "unboundadvocacy.org" is visible in small orange text at the bottom left.

A collage of images features a red book titled "FREE BANNED BOOK TO BE READ" on a red background. The book is labeled "COPYRIGHTED BY cunbound." The collage also includes images of a book-boxing truck, a book on a bench, and a book on a stand, all with red and black color schemes.

A collage of images and text on a light beige background includes:

1. A quote: “When we say nothing, when we do nothing, we are consenting to the trespasses against us.”
2. Two tablets are displayed against a red background. The tablet on top shows the Cinembound website, featuring a banner reading "BANNED BOOK LIBRARY" and categories like "MOST POPULAR," "BOOKS," "FANTASY," "ROMANCE," and "FICTION." The tablet below displays a promotional image for the Cinembound website, emphasizing the online public library and copy-to-copy support. Both tablets are angled slightly.

A person holds a tote bag with a repeating pattern of white "U" shapes on a red background. The bag is positioned on the left side of the image. To the right, two variations of the Harry Potter book cover are displayed: one with a yellow background and a black-and-white grid of U shapes, the other with a yellow background and a red-and-white grid of U shapes. The word "Dunbun" is superimposed on the right side of the image in white letters on a black background.

An open book displays the words “IS OUR SPEECH FREE?” in bold black letters on the top left page. Red text overlays the words “THE GREAT GATHERING,” “HIS KLEERLY HIDDEN,” “TO KILLERLY HIDDEN,” and “THE FOUNDATION.” The word “canbound” appears in black text on the bottom right page.

A laptop displays a Facebook page titled "Unbound Banned Book Group," showing a grid of stylized Facebook logos in red and gray squares. The page includes sections for "About," "Discussion," "Featured," "Topic," "Media," "About," "Rules," and "Join group." A smartphone shows the same page with the Facebook logo and the word "ACTION" in bold text, alongside the tagline "IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BOOK BANS." Both devices are set against a dark gray background.

Two posters are displayed side by side on a gray wall. The left poster reads “ONLY ONE OF THESE IS BANNED IN FLORIDA” with a black rifle image and “cunbound” at the bottom. The right poster reads “ONLY ONE OF THESE IS A CRIME IN MISSOURI” with a marijuana leaf image and “cunbound” at the bottom. A blurred person walks past the posters.

A laptop displays a webpage titled “BANNED BOOKS” in large white letters with a red diagonal line across it. A red “ACT NOW” button is positioned below. Below the headline, smaller text reads: “Over 1,600 books were banned in 32 States in 2022. Unbound is a safe space for all people wanting to learn about, and join in the fight against book banning.” To the right, a smartphone displays “BANS BY STATE” in red text above a map of the United States with red “ACT NOW” buttons. The background is a light beige.
