Project Description

Project Description

LENS is a suite of tools that helps dyslexics overcome their fear of reading by removing reading obstacles and providing additional ancillaries. The suite contains an online plugin, an offline reader, a set of bookmarks and a cell phone case. The LENS plugin transforms your daily digital reading into a clean reading mode with just one click! It allows you to apply a digital highlighter to small amounts of text. The offline reader converts seemingly endless word documents, emails and PDFs as well. The physical bookmark acts similarly to the plugin by letting the user move it up and down a page of a book. The phone case has a colored translucent band across the top of the phone that allows the user to slide it down when reading. LENS is available for both Chinese and English readers and will soon be available to download from the Google chrome store.

A hand holds open a book displaying page 24. The book’s pages contain text and images, including a green rectangular section with text. A black rectangular strip with “LENS” text is positioned across the open pages. The word “Bookmark” appears to the right of the strip. The background is white, and the word “LENS” is displayed vertically in black text.A white rectangular box with teal accents on the top and bottom edges contains a black book titled “LENS” with the word “LENS” displayed in white text on the spine. The box also features a black stylized strawberry graphic on the front. The word “LENS Bookmark” appears in black text to the left of the box. The background is light gray.A hand holds a white iPhone displaying a text message on its screen. The message reads: "terms at a bombshell Wednesday, afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources. Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused Wikileaks of having wiretapped tweets posted on March 4. The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the Obama administration, in its declining surveillance, was using the cover of legitimate day to spy on Presidents." The phone’s status bar shows the time as 6:44 PM and the carrier as T-Mobile. The background is plain white. In the top left corner, the LENS Phone case logo is visible. The image shows a stylized black plus sign (+) with a turquoise vertical bar running through its center. The plus sign is composed of thick, geometric black blocks, and the bar is positioned centrally within the symbol. The background is white.A woman with long, dark brown hair is shown against a solid black background. She is looking directly at the camera and smiling slightly. Her hair falls over her shoulders and partially obscures the black top she is wearing. The lighting is focused on her face and upper body, creating a clear contrast with the dark background. No other objects or text are visible in the image.
