Project Description

Project Description

Illuminated Atheist is a collection of personal stories of non-theists told through a rich visual vocabulary in order to provide a human and personal face to the philosophies that exist therein. Illuminated Atheist, derives its name from of illuminated manuscripts and their rich visual history. Illuminated Atheist will build a new visual library for Atheism and reform the perception of it in the public’s mind. We will focus on the positive nature of non-theism and use design and art to find a new level of communication for an audience of young, thoughtful and warm non-theists. In illuminating thought, we hope to dispel some of the taboos that exist and further the positive social impact of reason.
