Project Description

Project Description

Eco–nomy is a search engine that encourages people to shop green by connecting them to sustainable products and contextualizing product impact.

A computer screen displays a webpage titled “Eco-nomy helps you search sustainable products by their environmental impacts.” The page features a map of a coastal area with turquoise ocean water and a sandy beach. Below the map, a search bar prompts users to “Discover Sustainable Products,” and several icons are visible: “Land Preservers,” “Forest Guardians,” “Air Defenders,” and “Ocean Protectors.” A “Discover Ocean Protectors” logo is also present. The overall design emphasizes environmental sustainability and product search.

A screenshot of an Eco-nomy website displays a product page showcasing various shoes. The page includes sections for product categories, brand information, pricing, environmental impacts, and sustainable certifications. Key features visible are product categories (Clothing, Shoes, Athletic Shoes, Fashion Sneakers), product keywords (Workout shoes, Dress shoes, Casual dress shoes, Composite Leather Sneakers, Camo Sneakers, Composite Leather Sneakers, Miner Chrome Sneakers, Composite Leather Sneakers, Composite Leather Sneakers, Composite Leather Sneakers), impact keywords (Recycle materials, Fair Trade), and most relevant brands (Allbirds, Veja, Eco-nomy). Images of shoes are arranged in rows, showcasing different styles and colors.

A webpage displays a pair of Campo ChromeFree Leather White Orange Fluo sneakers. The shoes are white with red and blue accents on the sides and have a V-shaped design on the sides. They are shown on a white background. Text on the page states the price is $175 and describes them as "smooth and light, coming from farms located in the south of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul)." The product is certified by Eco-nomy as Land preservers. A "SHOP NOW" button with a price of $129 is visible at the bottom right.

Two versions of the Eco-nomy logo are displayed side by side: one black and one teal. Both feature the brand name in lowercase white text with a green dot replacing the dot in the 'o'. Below them, a browser window shows search results for "Eco-nomy" with the "eco-nomy" logo in black and the "Eco-nomy" logo in teal. Beneath the browser window are product categories and keywords, including "Product Categories", "Men", "Dress shoes", "Recycle materials", "Fair Trade", and "Renewable Energy Manufacturing".

Two tea bags are shown side by side. On the left, a dark gray bag is partially open, revealing a circular logo that reads “CERTIFIED Forest Guardians” with three stylized trees. The bag is closed and sits against a light gray background. On the right, a light brown tea bag is tied with a white string, featuring a circular label that reads “CERTIFIED Land Preservers” with a stylized tree image.

A computer screen displays a webpage titled “Open-Knit Crew — $98” with product information including a logo, product description, shipping details, and certifications. The webpage also shows “DISCOVER SIMILAR PRODUCTS” buttons and a “FREE SHIPPING” section. Beside it, a photograph shows a freestanding sign with a blue background and a white frame, leaning against a wooden wall. The sign features a white circular logo with a blue center.

The image shows two distinct screenshots. On the left, a webpage displays product details for "Orange Fluo," including a title, price, size, shipping and return information, and an "Add to Cart" button. The right side shows a smartphone screen displaying the Eco-nomy app. The app interface includes a search bar, posts (510), followers (980K), and a list (1142) of sustainable products from search.eco-nomy. The background of the right side is a gradient transitioning from blue to green to orange.

Two posters are displayed side-by-side. The left poster features a dark green background with a white stylized compass icon and the text "Search sustainable products by environmental impacts" and "nomy" at the bottom. The right poster shows a light blue-green background with a white stylized compass icon and the text "Search sustainable products by environmental impacts" and "nomy" at the bottom. Both posters are mounted on metal stands and positioned against a light-colored wall.
