Project Description

Project Description

Connecting People Who've Lost Someone After Suicide is an online community that connects people who have lost someone they love to suicide. Knowing that you’re not alone provides a sanctuary from the isolation and secrecy that often surrounds this kind of loss. The website is a place where people can feel safe to express what they’re going through among people who truly understand, because they’re going through it, too.

A desktop computer monitor displays a webpage titled "AFTERSUICIDE" with the tagline "Connecting People Who've Lost Someone." The webpage includes a quote: "We believe that no one should have to go through this alone. What's it like for you?" Below the quote, a colorful graphic is visible. A tablet screen shows the same webpage with a colorful, circular design. To the left of the computer, a pair of scissors rests on a light blue cutting mat next to a framed photo and a small potted plant. To the right of the computer, a stack of books and a small potted plant are visible.A screenshot of a social media post from BigSister75 shows a black grid of multicolored vertical stripes on a black background. Below the grid are three buttons: “ME TOO”, “I GET IT”, and “THANK YOU”. The post is dated “1 HOUR AGO” and includes text: “I feel guilty that I got better and you didn’t.” At the bottom are three small icons: a red circle labeled “ME TOO”, a green circle labeled “I GET IT”, and a green circle labeled “THANK YOU”. The post is part of a collage of images, including one with a rainbow archway and another with a girl in a beach scene.A screenshot displays a slide titled “Make an Image Card: Add Images,” showing a white square containing curved, multicolored lines in shades of pink, orange, yellow, and gray. A red square with a white “+” symbol is visible in the bottom right corner. A vertical bar labeled “Vertical” is on the left, and a horizontal bar labeled “Horizontal” is on the right. A gray bar labeled “Choose Image” and a white bar labeled “Next” are positioned to the right. The slide also shows icons for scissors, a clipboard, and a trash can. A white border frames the central image area, and a circular arrow icon appears at the bottom left. The image shows a screenshot of a digital word processing software interface. The central focus is a white text box containing the phrase "WISH I COULD MISS YOU" in a bold, sans-serif font. This text box is framed by a thin gold-colored border with small dots along its edges. To the right of the text box, a vertical toolbar is visible with various formatting options. These include “Vertical,” “Horizontal,” “Edit Text,” “Edit Color,” “Ctrl+B,” “Size,” “L,” “B,” “T,” and “Next,” indicating functionalities for adjusting the text’s appearance.A woman with long, brown hair smiles at the camera against a light gray background. She wears a dark gray top and looks directly at the camera.
