"Game of Types."
"Type Master" by Chiara Bajardi
Based on the classic game of Memory, Type Master gives proud type nerds the opportunity to brandish their knowledge of typography in competition with friends, while also serving to build upon their mental font library.
Whether playing one-on-one or in teams, the point of the game is to match the appropriate pieces of letterforms together for points. Each time a shape is successfully matched with its counterpart, the player who matches then has the opportunity to triple their reward by correctly identifying the face represented in the now fully-formed letter before them. If they don't recognize it they may choose to simply take one point for the match and set the cards aside. Or, they can risk their one point "finder's fee" for the chance at three points by attempting to "name that face". If the player takes this gamble is right, they take three points and the cards are taken out of play. If they are wrong, the original point is relinquished and the cards are placed back in play for a competitor to find and correctly identify.
