Faculty member Stephen Doyle is in Moscow soaking up the 28 degree cold and feasting on horse tartar. Here's what he has to say:
"I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse! Oh look, there it is on the menu: horse, stomach of horse, horse intestines—everything! But we thought we better start this trip with less adventurous fare. Curiously, they passed around a plate of Wriggleys gum after dinner, which seems to be a tradition in Tartarstan. Better that, I guess, than more horse parts. Those Tartars really know how to turn on the hospitality!"
