Co-chair Lita Talarico met up with alumna Anne Van Wagener (MFAD '08) over the holidays in Honolulu where Anne recently relocated. Here she talks about her journey:
"After working about five years for NBC News as the creative director for the TODAY Show Digital property, I decided to make a major life shift from the corporate world and follow my dream of living in Hawaii. I've been in Honolulu for about three months now working remotely for NBC and at the end of January I'll be making another shift into unemployment. Definitely scary, but it would be even scarier to not follow my heart. Eventually, I'm sure I'll start my own design business of some sort, but for now I'm going to take some time to rediscover my creativity, standup paddle and surf."
