Mitchell Reece Johnson MFAD 2019, one of our prolific second-year students, opened his first solo show My Favorite Heartbreak, last Friday March 22nd at Paradise Palace in Brooklyn. The artwork consisted of sculpture, painting, video installation and more. His work translates the state of America’s undervalued Black communities, political prisoners and activists, and how far we think that we have come to achieve equality and prosperity.
