At Mishka NYC, Thai Truong (MFAD 13) was given the opportunity to create a Dunny for Kid Robot's Apocalypse Series to commemorate "the end" that is nearing our days on earth.
"With direction of my art director, Mishka's dunny is a simple, fun one: modelling an alien-like being in a dark, bitter homage to the cult leader Marshall Applewhite of Heaven's Gate," Troung explains. "It features Applewhite's pastor clothes, his quick strike sneakers, glow-in-the-dark head, and a mini purple blanket that was laid upon him after the cult's mass suicide in 1997."
