I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri. I studied art history at Tufts University, and then moved to the New York with the intention of applying for architecture school. However, after working at an architecture and design firm for a year, I realized that I was far more interested in design than architecture. So, I began taking continuing education classes and building a design portfolio.
These are two pages from a children’s book I have been working on for several years. The book is about a girl detective that finds the Mona Lisa, after it was stolen off the wall at the Louvre in 1911. Children’s picture books have always been one of my biggest passions, and I have enjoyed experimenting with storytelling and illustration styles over the past few years while working on this project.
