Native of Milan, Italy, Nick Misani was born into a bilingual family of jewelry designers and, after a brief period living in Japan, moved to the States to pursue a dual degree in music (with a concentration in harp performance) and Japanese at Skidmore College.
It was his childhood passion for calligraphy that, upon graduating, allowed Nick to discover design and eventually pursue an MFA degree. Now, he is particularly interested in laborious creative processes and the convergence of traditional and contemporary forms.
