Meet The First Year Students: Chewei Xu

Each year at the start of the first semester we ask our new students to say a few words about one or more favorite projects.

There are many people suffering from low self-confidence, addiction to social media, self- harm, depression and autism in this society. This is one of the illustration series: every day the beauty industry pushes young women to spend too much time, money and efforts on our appearance. And we can’t ignore the problem it causes.
A personal project on micro world and macro world which ranged from patterns, booklets, typeface, icon and poster. I hope this project can contribute to bridging the gap between a designer’s appreciation of nature, the rational beauty of micro world and macro world with art design.
