"1096" is Taiwan born, Switzerland raised, Kenny Batu's self-initiated illustration project. "I have been working on it for 6 months," he says. "It's a series of 36 images which spread out a 3 year time-line. Particularly I always want to come up with new way of image making and I'm quite happy with the progress of "1096" so far. I specialized in illustration when I was at CSM and have gradually moved from imaging making to art direction. Usually when I work on a design, I visualize the project while consolidating an idea. I'm more visually oriented than idea oriented."
