Shawn Sprockett split most of his life between the rust belt of northeast Ohio and the sunshine of central Florida. He was raised by a human resources director with a photography hobby and a newsletter editor whose instincts about editorial design launched a magazine and career. Shawn has his BA in International Relations from Florida International University in Miami, where artists, activists, and instructional designers shaped his early interest in design.

"Inspired by the documentary 'Countdown to Zero,' this graphic was part of a project that spread awareness about the threat of nuclear weapons. It promotes the idea of a post-nuclear world, where weapons of mass destruction are eliminated voluntarily by all nations. A clean, almost clinical, design helped focus on the message, which was more about factual persuasion than emotional muckraking."
