Lita Talarico, co-founder and co-chair of MFA Design joined SVA 15 years ago today, September 1997. During that time she has shepherded the building of the MFA Designer as Author + Entrepreneur studio, community, faculty and curriculum, unique for being the first design program to have a professional 24/7 studio space, and the first program to produce design entrepreneurs and ranked in the Top Ten Graduate Design programs since 2004. Lita is still in touch with a vast majority of the more than 200 students who have graduated the program and watches with joy as they make their marks on the design landscape.
