That is exactly what Deborah Ader (MFAD 03) did. Beginning with her thesis project, she has revolutionized and expanded the world of design tremendously. When her grandmother accidentally took her husband’s medication, Deborah saw the problem that like her grandmother, many others face and through design thinking, was able to come up with a brilliant new design approach to prescription information. 
It was certainly infectious for students to see her continued excitement and passion for the projects she is working on. This was a visit that they have all came out of with their eyes opened wider, their curiosities spiked higher and their determination to go to the gemba.
