For the past two years students and faculty from Rome University of Fine Arts - Visual and Innovation Design program spent 10 days in New York City as guests of School of Visual Arts MFA Design program. The RUFA students explored the city, visited professional design studios, participated in workshops and pitched their “Tracks of Freedom” concepts to co-chairs Lita Talarico and Steven Heller.
On November 18th we were excited to be invited to virtually attend the opening reception of their gallery exhibition at RUFA Space - Pastificio Cerere in Roma. The exhibition traces the experience lived by the students in New York where they were protagonists of the workshop on the concept of "Sense of Difference" led by the teachers Emanuele Cappelli, Mario Rullo, and Antonio Pace.
While we would have loved to be there in person, our Skype call directly into the gallery was a moving experience. It was wonderful to see the joy and excitement on the familiar faces of our students from across the ocean.
