MFA Design faculty member, Fred Kahl aka The Great Fredini was named Grand Wizard of Coney Island by Dick Zigun, the unofficial mayor of Coney Island on Saturday. The honor was awarded as part of the 2016 Spring Gala which raises funds for the myriad of performances and events that take place in "America's Playground".
The event took place at the Coney Island Museum and Freak Bar where on display was Fred's 3D printed sculpture of Thompson and Dundy's Luna Park. Vaudeville, magic, music and burlesque performances lasted through the "exotica" themed night.
