The first annual Christopher and Deborah Buck Scholarship for thesis development has been awarded. The Jury included Deborah Buck, Allan Chochinov, Steven Heller, Stefan Sagmeister and Lita Talarico.

The recipients are:

Giho Lee, "MOSA (Musuem of Sound and Arts)," Virtual museum of sound and arts to be used by sound design students to solve the problem of a lack of design inspiration.

Matthew Luckhurst: "Illuminated Atheist," A graphic novel/website that explores the concept of Atheism by using the vocabulary of contemporary design.

Ashley Stevens: "Hello Again," Book (and online component) to support families and friends of loved ones with mental illness.

Matthew Heckart: "Two Wings," A campaign to support LGBT Iraqis and other asylum seekers.
