Recent grad Francisco J. Hernandez (MFAD 14) brought his venture, Lei Lei, to the NYC BigApps 2014 event last Saturday July 19th where developers competed for $100,000 in cash prizes. With collaborator Francisco Cervantes, Hernandez was  able to share a functioning demo and  "the feedback from the people, all of whom had never seen my project, was incredible!," he says.
The competition is still going on and the top 20 apps winners will be announced in September, one from each of the categories (Learn, Live, Play, and Work) to receive a $20,000 prize.
Hernandez hopes to have a beta version in the App Store by the end of August.
