Barry X. Ball Portraits and Masterpieces at Ca'Rezzonico. Ball, an American sculptor, stretches the boundaries of the age-old tradion of figurative stone sculpting. Ball employs 3D scanning, virtual modeling and computer controlled-milling to detail hand carving and polishing, all the while paying reverent homage to historical antecedents. His 24 sculptures are installed in 19 rooms referencing and interacting with the permanent collection of Ca'Rezzonico, the Museum of 18th Century Venice, www.visitmuve.it
