Janine Toro is a user experience leader and advocate of digital product experiences as well as the users that interact with them. People are at the heart and center of her process of building meaningful, enjoyable end to end experiences. She uses empathy and design thinking methodologies to understand human behavior and to strategize design decisions. Janine believes accessibility and inclusivity in design are critical for better experiences. Currently, she is working as a UX Strategy Lead at Instrument. She recently joined the AIGA NYC Board and is helping spread their mission championing the future of design for all. Her career spans across agencies, start-ups, and in-house companies, educating stakeholders on the value of UX and its influence on business strategy.

When she’s not researching or creating user experiences you can find her running workshops, building communities through events & speaking engagements, facilitating the Hexagon mentorship program and using her voice in the LGBTQ+ community through the podcast and video series, Naked & Inside Out.
